Facundo Reyna-Muniain (1979), estudou Letras na Universidade de Bos Aires (UBA), para posteriormente licenciarse en Filoloxía Hispánica na Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC) onde logo cursou o Máster en Estudos da Literatura e da Cultura. Doutorouse en Lingüística Iberorrománica pola Universidade de Bremen (Alemaña) coa tese “Lingua e identidade no contexto da diáspora, a lingua galega en Bos Aires”. As súas principais liñas de investigación son: plurilingüismo, estudos da diáspora, política lingüística familiar, sociolingüística e glotopolítica. Foi profesor visitante na Euskal Herriko Unibersitatea (EHU), Universidade de Salamanca (USAL), Europa Universität Flensburg (EUF), Universidade do Salvador (USAL) e Universidade de Bos Aires (UBA), entre outras universidades. Actualmente é investigador do Instituto da Lingua Galega e o European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI).
