The Galician Institute of International Analysis and Documentation (IGADI) is an International Relations think tank founded with the mission of understanding the world from Galicia, in order to project Galicia into the international society. As part of this mission, the YouTube channel IGADI TV was created in 2009.
The video traces the channel’s history, from its beginnings to the present day, highlighting its reinvention in 2020 prompted by the arrival of the pandemic. It covers the wide array of projects and activities that have enriched IGADI TV’s content, reliving key moments from classic initiatives such as the International Electronic Symposium on Chinese Politics or the Xacobeo–Silk Road Conferences.
It also showcases more innovative formats, such as the EU Glocal Perspective programs, the Feminist Foreign Policy Cycle and the Future Summit, as well as the Global Coruña and República dos Sonhos Galas — featuring Yolanda Castaño and Esther Estévez — and the Marathon of Galician Identity (Maratón de Galeguidades). The video offers a comprehensive perspective on the initiatives hosted on the IGADI YouTube channel and what they represent within a nearly 34-year trajectory.
You can watch “The Story of IGADI TV” on our YouTube channel, which will continue to provide innovative and relevant content to foster a space of coexistence and participation centered on the world and Galicia in the 21st century. The video was produced by Estela Muiños, a student from the Faculty of Communication at the University of Vigo, who completed an internship at IGADI over the past three months.
